IN THE BEGINNING

Jonathan Sollie was born in 1988 in Minnesota. As a child he always had a knack for creativity and a penchant for drawing. He spent hours sitting on his front sidewalk drawing dinosaurs with his friends. In his adolescent and teen years, Sollie could always be found with a sketchbook in one hand and a pencil in the other. His love of computer arts began during a graphic design class in ninth grade. Later on, Sollie could see his future in this art form, and spent senior year as art director for the yearbook.

IN THE MIDDLE

Sollie is a graphic and multimedia designer with print, illustration and web skills. Sollie works at UW-Stout: University Housing as a graphic designer and attended UW-Stout as a full-time student until he graduated in May 2011. He spent the next 20 months working for the Minneapolis agency Morsekode as a designer.

IN THE END

That’s for you lovely people to decide. You could help make Sollie’s future bright and smiley and give him a job. He will bring a youthful and joyful presence each day in case you left yours at home. In the future he would love to start a small design firm but until then he will be working for you to create ideas and change the world.

SOLLIEDESIGN

//The Brand//

SollieDesign was started in 2007 during Sollie’s freshman year of college. He decided that to pay for life's expenses he needed to start charging for his design skills (you look a little more legit with a logo and a business card). There have been many stages of the logo, business card and website before we arrived here. If you would like to know more about him you can view his Resume.

MORSEKODE

//Past Workplace//

PEPPER MAGAZINE

//Past Fun//

Pepper Magazine is a student organization, blog and bi-annually printed magazine at UW-Stout. Jesse Lindhorst and Jonathan Sollie started the project in 2010. They worked with students to let their voices, opinions and creativity be heard. Sollie was the Editor-in-Chief of the magazine and blog for the first two years then passed it on to other promising talent. Check out Pepper at WhereIsPepper.com
